BUTTER BEAN is a free chunky rounded-serif display font with broad soft serifs, compact counters and asymmetric curves for warm headlines and packaging. Regular v0.100 is a single static monochrome style. Includes 416 Unicode mappings: uppercase and lowercase Latin, numerals, printable ASCII, Latin-1 Supplement, Latin Extended-A, selected additional Latin, 15 combining accents, fractions, currencies and editorial punctuation. Five spacing/control mappings are intentionally blank. Optical kerning and accent positioning are included. Designed for display sizes, not small body text. Inspect compact counters in currency signs and accents at the intended output size. The supplemental long-s and sharp-s shapes are deliberately smoother than the swollen source forms. No Hangul or full Greek repertoire. All 411 visible glyphs were reviewed individually at enlarged size and passed after repairs, with separate family, shaped-context and multilingual word checks. Technical validation has no blocking errors; normal TTF/CFF raster-edge differences remain documented. Linux Fontconfig parsing passes; macOS/Windows and external design-app installation are untested. The download includes the final Regular TTF and license documents.
