SIL OPEN FONT LICENSE 1.1

Free for personal
and commercial use.

Fonts distributed by JFFF are licensed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. There are no usage fees, whether you are making a personal project or paid client work.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Make it part of your work.

  • Create logos, brand identities, posters and print designs.
  • Use the fonts in advertising, video, broadcasts and paid content.
  • Design packaging, merchandise and products you sell.
  • Embed the fonts in websites, apps and software.
  • Modify, convert and redistribute the fonts under the OFL.

You do not need to credit JFFF on the work you create with the fonts or license that work under the OFL.

WHEN SHARING FONT FILES

Keep the fonts open.

  • Do not sell the font files on their own.
  • Include the copyright notice and OFL when redistributing original or modified font files.
  • Distribute modified fonts under the same OFL 1.1 license.
  • Do not present a modified font as an official or endorsed JFFF release.

No Reserved Font Names are designated for JFFF releases.

Do I need separate permission?

No, as long as you follow the license. When you distribute fonts with a website, app or software package, include the license and copyright notice. A logo or image made with the fonts does not need an attribution printed on it.

The full license takes precedence.

This page is a plain-English summary. The full OFL 1.1 text included with each download sets out the terms. Fonts are provided as is; see each font page for its tested uses and known limitations.
