Using DISKCUT

Is DISKCUT free for commercial use?

Yes. DISKCUT is free for personal and commercial projects under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. You can use it in logos, print, video, websites and apps. Keep the copyright and license when redistributing the font software. Read the license terms.

What is DISKCUT best used for?

Small counters. Big presence. DISKCUT is an ultraheavy geometric display sans with broad bodies, small circular counters, flat terminals and sharp angular cutouts. The interlocking cuts of M, compact U channel and diagonal K give short headlines a bold graphic rhythm. Lowercase letters extend the circular construction with single-storey a and g. Version 0.200 fills the lower cutout of Y for a straight stem and flat baseline, including its accented variants. 330 encoded characters and 331 glyphs cover Basic Latin, Latin-1, Latin Extended-A and selected punctuation, including spaces. Designed for large poster titles, provisionally 48–144 pt. Design preview: individual enlarged review of the full character set, native-app installation and physical print validation are pending. Precomposed Latin accents are supported; Hangul and independent combining marks are not included. Download includes TTF and SIL OFL 1.1.
