Using SOLTO

Is SOLTO free for commercial use?

Yes. SOLTO is free for personal and commercial projects under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. You can use it in logos, print, video, websites and apps. Keep the copyright and license when redistributing the font software. Read the license terms.

What is SOLTO best used for?

Soft stories, expressive edges. SOLTO is a bold display serif with strong stroke contrast, narrow oval counters, gently flared serifs and subtly irregular printed outlines. Its lowercase, figures and punctuation extend the same character into a complete Latin set. Designed for editorial headlines, posters and expressive packaging. Version 0.340 includes 330 encoded characters and 331 glyphs: printable Basic Latin, Latin-1, Latin Extended-A and 11 additional punctuation characters. Start at 48 pt or 64 px. All characters were reviewed in enlarged specimens; export contour intersections were repaired and 3,844 Latin letter/number pairs were checked for collisions. Download includes TTF and SIL OFL 1.1. Accented Latin uses precomposed characters; Hangul and independent combining marks are not included. Design preview: native editing-app installation and print workflows have not been verified.
